The cartographic firm Micro Mapper was established in 2001. We are a young and dynamic team with the objective to compile and promote good cartographic products. The succes of the firm is based on the work of specialists in cartography with experience in composing competition maps for orienteering in Romania as well as abroad. Over the past 4 years we have also completed tourists maps, road maps and city maps.


Our main objective in the present is to complete as soon as possible the digital city maps of the largest cities of Transylvania. To produce these cartographic maps we use GPS technology for collecting spatial data. To draw the maps we use special cartographic software: OCAD (www.ocad.com).

Our city maps may be used very efficiently in the domain of Business GIS. By connecting the postal addresses database with the geometrical base of our maps with the aid of a GIS software we obtain a GIS product with many possibilities to use: car following system, statistical and economical spatial analysis, making easier the decision making process. Our partner in these projects is the GeoX Ltd. (www.geox.hu) from Hungary.

Besides the digital city maps we are involved in the cartography of mountain touristic map , edited by the Erfatur and Dimap firms (www.dimap.hu).
